Coloring by Numbers

Last week, Jones taught us a very easy and quick way of color correcting!  The technique is called "coloring by numbers."  It's great!  Combined with all the other skills we've learned, you can really make an image great!

We've used Mr Jones' trick for portfolio printing....and it's not that great. Janet Kelly has gone through like a box for a single print. Fair warning. Thank God I only have three colors in mine!!!

The probelms I have with color "correcting" is that it is subjective. Sure, PS gives you the histogram numbers but sometimes I feel we spend all this time removing what was natural. Warm, ambient sun tones, for example. Personal preferences also play into factor. What one personal sees as appealing may not be appealing to another. How do you determine which is right outside of the obvious grossly wrong color shift?
