Good vs. Evil
Today my friend Amanda and Lauren helped me shoot some images for my assignment in Photo imaging. It was intensely fun. I modeled for myself. The photos will be sent to GQ shortly. :/ Oh, and "good vs. evil" is the theme I'm shooting for. I'll post this one as soon as if completed it!
moe-foe-toe
Here are some additional photos from the shoot I did with my nephew. These are a favorites! Whaaat a ham!
Available Light... whaaaaat a relative term.
I shot my sister for my environmental portrait. Unfortunately the negatives were destroyed during development. My friend Ally was nice enough to let me shoot her. Ally is an artist and loves to paint. We set up her easels and paintings/supplies. I then posed Ally and went to take a picture. Just then, the mother ship of clouds moved in and killed the light! I was forced you use lamps. I'm happy with the outcome though!

Do it! Open the box!
Through friends at school, I've discovered Pandora. This is a free internet radio station that lets you customize what you can listen to! It's pretty amazing. They're also are very particular about what they will let you do, to keep you away from any lawsuits for the music industry! Pandora, you have my blessing...
Happy Memorial Day!
Spring Cleaning?
Woot has a Dyson for $150!!! whhhat a deal! If you have the money I would definately get one. Hurry! I'm sure they will soon sell out.

Here it is!
After many nights of staying out till 4am and waking up at 6am I've finished the Night Photography project! Ladies and Gentleman, here it is!
Red Hawhyte & Blue
Photobarn is having a photo contest next month. The theme is "Red White & Blue." I going to enter this image. It's black & white, but the rules say as long as red white and blue is clearly implied than the photo will be judged. This is also the image that I won second place with during the initial Skills USA competition.
POP MIDTERM!
Last week...or the week before... Can't remember. Seniora Finchinator surprised us with a mid-term! Luckily it wasn't a written test. We had 30 minutes to shoot an image. Once we shot the image we had to work it up and print it COLOR CORRECTED with only 2 sheets of paper. I accepted this challenge. (kinda had too) It was like America's Next Top Model. The print lab was full of people trying not to strangle each other and knocking each other over to fight for the printers. It's was the most fun I've had in this program!!! :)

There's a storm a rollin' in...
In Photo Imaging 2 we've been doing compositional work. The assignment was to compose 2 or more of our own images into one. I had fun with it and love the outcome. Super unrealistic but that's the point! :) You will probably recognize the barn from my night post earlier. Whatever, it's in my backyard!

Hello Rudy Huxtable!
My friend/classmate Tameka Pero was published! Not only published, but got the cover! Several weeks ago, she had the opportunity to shoot Keshia Knight Pulliam. She was assisted by the always amazing Danielle Thomas. Tameka did a beautiful job! Good Job Tameka! I so happy for you! :)

This is a photo I did or the Skills USA Comp. My goal was to show the judge that I could shoot more than just outside photos with available light. I am very pleased with the outcome.

what boat? I'm on a helicopter.
Yesterday was Snellville Days, day 2 of 2. I didn't even plan on going. Fortunately, my sister made me and I decided it would be a great photo opp. as well. Well, they were doing helicopter rides! What a great experience. We got to circle around Snellville for about 10 minutes before we were hurled to the ground and plummeted to our deaths. Well, I was sure that would happen... clearly it didn't. My nephew had an absolute blast!

They spelt my name wrong... :(
I'm a little jealous. I'm not gonna lie...
So, I've been doing research on the new Canon Dig Rebel T1i. For $900 you get way more camera than you pay for! This has liveview, a 3" display screen, 3 frames a second, 15.1 megapixels, and the most amazing part of all is HD 1080 video!!! Back in March I purchased the 50D and I'm currently extremely bitter with Canon. Not only does the new Rebel have, essentially, all the major features and same quality the 50D has, it has HD video! Which the 50D does not. The sensor size is the exact same! Megapixels are the exact same! Screen size...same! The only major difference is the 3 frames p/sec compared to the 50d's 6.5 f/p/s. Which I would gladly trade 3 f/p/s for HD video. I guess I paid several hundred more for the honor of walking around and be able to hold my head high knowing I don't shoot a rebel...
.................................................................................
Dear Canon,
WHY!?
Sincerely,
Damian

Who knew?
So, I attempted to shoot my 2 year old nephew a while back. Man... this kid will never sit still! If I recall correctly, he ended up picking up the chair he is sitting in and throwing it... yikes.
