Dear Damian,

Don't let anyone fool you. BW requires plenty of CC. Ask any upper quarter peep about how many packets of velvet they went through just to get a couple of decent prints. Lot more complicated than some may believe. The diff between BW and Color CC is that with BW if you knew what you were doing and exposed properly you wouldn't have unwanted colors in an UNSATURATED image. You also have to consider the multiple gray variations of the image and decide where each belongs. There is a lot of pre-shot thought going into a black and white...or you can just point and shoot and fix it after going through a pack of paper. Why do you think Ansel is such a hero? He knew where his hi's mid's and low's would be before he took the shot! Okay enough ranting. Good luck with color....I f-n hated it.
