Little boy blue and the man on the moon...
I just got finished experimenting with night photography. Wow! I've fallen in love with photography AGAIN! Nothing makes me more happy than silence and complete freedom to create!
I NEED HELP! (updated)
Anyone know where I can get a set of Bogen Gels? Or, even Rosco Gels. (preferably at the price of Bogen.) I've looked everywhere and the only place that has them is Showcase. Buuuut they are Rosco and $50. I've got a set of Rosco Swatches on the way, but I need big sheets for night photos. Please, let me know.
*As of an hour ago I sucked it up and purchased the rosco set from Showcase. Surprisingly though, they were only $35 after student discount! The lady over the phone was waaay off.
Sweet deal!
WOOT WOOT!
Woot has a flip camera for $69.99 + $5 shipping. You can't beat that! My friend Ally Pinder has one and they are the coolest things ever. Hurry! If you want one, they are soon to be sold out.

Heroes is over!
It's not the size of your lens, It's how... well, it's definately the size of your lens.
One of my favorite things to do is browse online photo stores to see what I can find but not afford. Behold! The holy grail of L lenses! This is the Canon 1200mm f/5.6. It's custom made. It's used. Whatever, it's $120,000. House or Lens? One day, I will take this lens to the moon... or not. Thanks B&H! Go there, they are great. Below is a link to the demo video.
gettin there...
I'm working on getting photos and what not up! So, hang in there! To all my followers! (one...)

Tech Heads Unite!...
Well... yesterday the Marketing department at Gwinnett Tech was shooting photos for the 2009-2010 school year catalog and what not. Well, the photographer (Anthony) needed some models to represent each department. Emily, Lindsay, and myself were chosen for the "intense" task of representing the Photo dept. It was a great experience! We were able to help Anthony set up and stage stuff. AMAZING learning experience. Well, we began the whole modeling thing and then he whipped it out! The "T" that is. Apparently the theme for next year is "Tech Heads." Several frames of the shoot, we were forced to make the letter "T" with our hands... hmm... this is what it feels like to be rapped by a photo... Anthony wasn't feeling it either. But, he kept repeating, "Cheesy pays the bills." He's absolutely right. :(

I WON!
This Thursday was the Skills USA Competition! Amanda, Ryan, and myself competed against 3 students from North Georgia Tech. It was a brutal competition! I lost clumps of hair and got a zit. Soooo stressful! The state competition consisted of 4 rounds. Round 1: present our 3 best photos. Round 2: restore a torn image. Round 3: studio shoot. Round 4: Interview. After much bloodshed the competition came to fruition. I GOT FIRST PLACE! It was extremely close though! Kansas City! Here I come!
